- Growing up, any credible music was courtesy of my Dad, listening to Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Cream etc. I can't say with any degree of certainty that these band influenced the direction I took with regards to what I listen to.
- At school, I remember the 4 core bands that you could guarantee 99% of the year was listening to; Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot or Limp Bizkit. However, it was a friend who introduced me to Feeder (more specifically, Echo Park), that was ultimately responsible for the direction I took towards music in general.
- Nowadays, I listen to a lot of varied acts (Vangelis, Mastodon, Mono, envy), and can't with any conviction settle on one specific genre I prefer over the overs, although would say a lot of the current acts I enjoy listening to fall within the boundries, one way or another, of Rock.
- I never listen to radio but instead take my own path in deciding what bands to listen to. I don't tend to buy magazines, no redeeming features that would attract me to purchase any of them. I have the internet in my room, and websites/blogs/bandsites tend to be a lot more informative & up to date than paper-based medium. Websites used; allmusic, sputnikmusic, Wiki, absolutepunk.net.
